Planning for the ARC – getting our minds into gear

This weekend, we join the 3 day seminar run by the World Cruising Club in preparation for the ARC. The same event that we did 3 years ago. This time, it is so much more real and the excellent briefings make a lot more sense.

We go into detail on Watermakers, Sails, Weather, Comm’s, Rigging, Sails. Weather Routing and many other areas. Great that Paul Covell joined us to line things up for our ARC crossing.

Some great connections made and looking forward to speaking more to people like Chris Tibbs and the guys from WCC as we prep for our trip. Good advice from Chris in preparation for our Biscay Crossing – from the UK South Coast across to Brest, wait there for the weather window and then clean across the 400 miles to Finisterre, Advice is to go inside Ushant.

It all feels very real.
